DeviantArt has renamed Premium Memberships... and apparently increased the price. Not sure by how much, because I don't remember what the old price was, but people are saying it's gone up. Any details on that would be appreciated.
I think this might be a sign that the site is having some financial troubles of some sort, but I also think this isn't gonna help. I'm no economics expert, but when you increase the price when the demand is already low... that's not gonna increase your profits.

When They Listen, We Need to Speak
This may sound silly, but i think one way we can make a difference is to participate in DeviantArt surveys. When DA actually lends is their ears, we should take advantage of that opportunity. That said, please vote on the new survey, there are a lot of amazing features we should encourage them to add.
I think DA might be genuinely trying to listen to our feedback. Don't give them bad data, people! Whenever you get the chance, avoid changes that don't improve the ART aspect of the site, especially when they're social media related. (Example: short text updates. Vote against that; journals should be plenty sufficient.)
Another useless change?
I reported a comment on my journal for spam and it's still there. Isn't it supposed to hide it automatically when I do that?

(Edit: nevermind, it just stays in my notifications. Kinda useful actually. But I'm pretty sure it's always been that way.)
What Now?
Over the past few days we've gained about three dozen members. I'd say that's pretty good, especially considering it's already gotten to the point where I don't know more than maybe half of them. Now that we've got things started, it's time to get working on things.
(By the way: since this is a protest group, member suggestions and contributions are vital. It'd be stupidly hypocritical of me not to pay attention to your ideas when that's what we're protesting about! If you have any ideas regarding the group, please let me know, preferably through comments or notes!)
Priorities, as they currently stand (in no particular order):

Submissions Temporarily Disabled
Somebody submitted about 200 deviations to the favorites, so I'm turning that off.
Why the hell is that enabled by default?
